JRDM Photography: Jason & Cecelia

I had the honor of shooting the engagement pictures of one of my close friends from college last week in Napa Valley, CA. The air was crisp with some scattered rays of sunshine- the perfect setting for a timeless photo shoot. Congrats Cece and Jason- cant wait for the big day this spring!! Here are a few of my favorite shots:

Hot Summer iGadgets

Recently I purchased the "Olloclip" from Apple and recommend it. Its a fun way to capture a wide-angle, macro, and fish eye effects on-the-go. The only negative thing about it is that it covers up the flash so you cant really use it when its dark. Ive been noticing many new gadgets popping up everywhere for your ipad/iphones... here are just a few that I found on "Photojojo"...

Shutter Remote: Shoot photos and videos up to 30 feet away
Card reader: Upload photos directly to your iPad

Glamour

Blake Lively is my favorite Fashion Icon! Her fashion approach is FLAWLESS down to the dot. If I had the chance to choose someone to swap lives, wardrobe (especially) and looks for a day- i would say her name in a heart beat. Here are a few shots from the current issue of Glamour Magazine- PERFECTION.

April showers bring May flowers

Every year when spring comes around, I anxiously wait for one of my favorite trees/flowers to bloom: The Cherry Blossom Tree. While reading some articles, I came upon some interesting facts about the Cherry Blossom Trees. They were first given to the USA by the Japanese in the early 1900's to celebrate the nations' then growing friendship and ever since then all over the US, Cherry Blossom Festivals are held to celebrate these gorgeous trees.
Take a look at how lovely they look in NYC's Central Park- Spring is finally here!

Donations Needed!

The American Red Cross is asking for any donations ($) you might be able to give to help the victims of Japan's Earthquake/tsunami that hit earlier today. This terrible event has even brought aftershocks to the Bay Area. Santa Cruz has been hit with swells that has damaged a couple of boat harbors.  The coast guard is on close watch if any tsunami after shocks might hit our coastline.
Here are some amazing yet sad shots from the tsunami's invading parts of Japan after the 8.9 Earthquake. I felt like I was watching one of those Hollywood, "End of the world" movies- Its def breathtaking to see the force and speed of the waves and water. Everything is washed away... My prayer and heart goes out to all the victims!!

San Francisco, California Snow Prediction

Its been all over the news this week that San Francisco, California might get an inch or two of snow this Thursday-Saturday! The last time this happened was over 35 years ago. Temperatures will be in the low 30's so gear up because it will be freezing. This is a great opportunity take out your cameras- dont let this amazing moment melt away. Here are some pictures snapped the last time it snowed in the Bay Area.
Im so excited- this is sure to be a beautiful sight.

Sushirrito: Two Thumbs Up

I finally got the chance to swing by "Sushirrito," the newest place in SF to eat your favorite sushi on the go. Even though I stood in line for around 30 mins,  I was motivated and curious to see what all the hype was about.

Their menu is pretty basic and suitable to everyones taste buds. The price on the other hand was a bit much in my opinion for the size of the burrito but the location was simple and to the point- you order, pay, and pick up.

I chose to order (and share with my food critic partner, my dad) the "Smokin' Chicken", the owners favorite, and "Crispy Ebi" ( I love shrimp tempura). My favorite was the "Smokin Chicken." The mixture of warm chichen with their special sauce just make the seaweed taste so delicious for some reason.

Sushirrito is def worth the experience and tastebud journey- make sure to put that on your next "To Visit" List!
